Stuart Schneider

Stuart brings a wealth of experience to Balmain & Co. He has a proven track record, excellent project skills and extensive experience in both Civil and Commercial construction across both Melbourne and Queensland. As the Queensland Division Manager, Stuart is responsible for ensuring that all projects across the state are running smoothly. Some of Stuart’s key responsibilities include acquisition, document control, scheduling and logistics, contractor management, supervision, and leadership. 

Elliot Naylor

Elliot joined Balmain & Co as a Contract Administrator, focusing on high-level procurement and contract administration. He has since progressed into a Project Management role, where he continues to leverage his natural aptitude for working under pressure and excelling in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of the construction industry.

Steve Glen

Steve Glen is an experienced Construction Manager with a strong track record in delivering complex projects across the construction industry. He plays a key role in the management of Balmain & Co's Queensland division, overseeing resource planning, scheduling, procurement, project delivery and reporting. With a structured, solutions-focused approach, Steve ensures projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard while supporting the continued growth and success of the Queensland team.

Jake Dawe

While completing the final year of his double degree in Civil Engineering and Business, Jake joined Balmain & Co's Graduate Program, where he applied his academic knowledge to real-world projects. Following his final rotation and the completion of his university studies, he transitioned seamlessly into a Contract Administrator role on one of Balmain & Co's largest projects to date.

Now based in Queensland, Jake continues to excel, demonstrating a strong commitment to construction excellence in his role as Project Manager.

Mitch Schneider

Mitch is a qualified carpenter with over 10 years of experience across both residential and commercial construction. He has managed a number of commercial projects, specialising in demolition and refurbishments, while also bringing strong expertise in the site management of residential developments.

Sean Heiner-Hennessy

As a site-based Contract Administrator, Sean applies strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail to every task, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project delivery. He has developed a solid understanding of contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and on-site operations, contributing to the smooth running of projects. Ambitious and career-focused, Sean is looking to progress into a Project Management role to gain experience managing multi-level and mixed-use developments, bringing his methodical and thorough approach to larger-scale projects.

Sam O'Neill

Sam is a skilled Contract Administrator with expertise in document control, managing subcontractor and head contract payment and variation claims, trade tendering, procurement, and contract negotiations. Throughout his career so far, Sam has demonstrated experience working on a range of construction projects including residential, aged care and industrial type projects across Queensland.

Brendan Cannell

Brendan is an ambitious and highly experienced construction professional with over 18 years specialising in façade, glazing, and curtain wall projects. Known for his detail-oriented approach, he consistently delivers exceptional quality and workmanship while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Brendan has a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget, demonstrating both reliability and expertise in every undertaking.

Marius Meiring

Marius is a construction professional based in Queensland with strong communication skills, ensuring smooth information flow between key project stakeholders. His experience includes management of subcontractor packages from design approval to installation, focusing on quality and meeting deadlines on various construction projects both locally and abroad.  

James Brown

James is a Project Manager with over 13 years of construction industry experience, holding a Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering from Adelaide University and a strong track record across projects ranging from $4M to $1.85B. He began his career as a Site Engineer on major defence projects, including the $597M Hardened and Networked Army facilities and the $1.85B New Royal Adelaide Hospital. He then progressed to Senior Project Engineer roles, delivering landmark projects such as the $135M UQ Andrew Liveris Building, before stepping into Project Management Roles on projects like an $85M retail centre, $4M GYG fitout and a $30M Woolworths development.

Amanda Liddell

With an exceptional eye for detail and construction experience spanning New Zealand and Australia, Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as Quality and Aftercare Coordinator at Balmain & Co. She is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality, managing the end-to-end rectification process, and leading the formal handover, guiding clients through the Defect Liability Period with clarity and confidence. Driven by a passion for continuous improvement, Amanda consistently refines internal procedures to ensure Balmain & Co delivers quality outcomes on every project.  

Riki Cooper

As a qualified carpenter and licensed builder, Riki is passionate about creating positive spaces in the built environment. Having built, managed, and successfully sold a construction company, he has gained invaluable communication skills, business acumen, and industry expertise. His experience working with multiple stakeholders, contractors, and consultants enables him to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.

Luke Pryor

Luke is a hands-on and adaptable Site Manager with over 11 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career in Canberra, progressing through construction worker, leading hand, and building cadet roles before moving into a foreman role on large residential tower projects. He then transitioned into site management delivering a $12M aged care complex, before relocating to Brisbane where he has managed multiple defence projects including a new-build at HMAS Moreton and a $5M Redcliffe library.

Robert Petkoski

Robert is a Site Manager with over 12 years of experience across residential, commercial, and infrastructure construction. Known for his attention to detail, high-end finishes, and strong subcontractor management, Robert holds a QBCC Open Builder Site Supervisor licence along with Certificate IV qualifications in both Building and Workplace Health and Safety.

Colm Boyle

Colm is a construction and HSE professional with over 15 years of experience spanning Ireland, the UK, and Australia. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Building Surveying alongside Cert IV qualifications in both OH&S and Building and Construction, Colm brings a well-rounded technical foundation to his safety advisory work. He began his career in engineering and surveying before transitioning into HSE, building broad exposure across a diverse range of project types including retirement living, residential, commercial, and cladding rectification.

Patrick Maguire

With over 15 years of commercial construction experience, Patrick has worked on an array of projects ranging from $15M to $100M across Western Australia, Canberra and the Sunshine Coast. Patrick is a proven, award-winning operator known for his strong site presence, collaborative approach, and ability to manage trades and subcontractors effectively.

Taylor Fettes

Taylor is a qualified carpenter from New Zealand and is looking to build on his technical foundations through hands-on site experience. Currently working at a leading hand level, Taylor brings a strong understanding of construction principles through his experienced in high-end residential developments, and his grounded approach to site work. With the ambition to grow into more senior roles, he is keen to develop his trade relationships, site management skills and broader industry knowledge.

Will Featherston

Will is an architecture graduate with a passion for the built environment and a drive for innovation. Currently working in construction, Will brings a creative mindset and strong technical foundation to his work, complementing his academic studies with valuable hands-on industry experience. Enthusiastic and proactive by nature, Will is well-placed to bridge the gap between design and construction, and is eager to grow his skills and knowledge as he builds a career in the construction industry.
