Site Shed Tea Time at Sunrise Beach Village - July 2024

In honour of NAIDOC Week, Balmain & Co was delighted to host morning tea at Sunrise Beach Village last week to celebrate and recognize the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Located on the land of the Kabi Kabi people, we gathered in the site shed with partners Keyton and BlueCare for a morning of delicious refreshments, meaningful conversations, and a chance to learn more about the rich and diverse cultures of Australia's First Nations peoples.

Three of our guests left with a delightful hamper. Kindly gifted by Keyton, each hamper was filled with locally sourced traditional goodies from My Dilly Bag. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in support of NAIDOC Week.

Construction is well underway on site with the villas (ILU’s) making great progress. Lots 5 and 6 now at lockup stage and painting is due to commence shortly. Lots 7-12 and 27-29 now have inground services complete whilst 9 and 10 are ready for their concrete pour which is expected to take place in the coming days. The Community Clubhouse has also begun with sheet piling and basement excavation works as our project team prepares for screw piling works to commence shortly. These works are a vital part of the building's foundation and form the base of where the structure will rise from.

Balmain & Co look forward to sharing more updates as these wonderful villas (ILU’s) and the Community Clubhouse continue to take shape at Sunrise Beach Village.
